About the Safari
This safari takes you to Uganda’s premium national parks: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the mountain gorillas and pygmies, as well as Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, and a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport & Transfer to Your Hotel
Upon arrival, your Wild Breeze Safaris guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe for relaxation. You will also receive a briefing about your safari adventure. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt to visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, home to numerous bird species and primates, providing a warm welcome to the “Pearl of Africa.”

Day 2: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (9-10 hours)
After an early breakfast, embark on your journey to Bwindi. Enjoy a brief stop at the Equator for photo opportunities, followed by another stop in Mbarara for lunch. Afterward, continue your journey to Bwindi, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Walk
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing. Following the briefing, you’ll be assigned a guide and rangers to lead you on your trek. Depending on the gorilla family’s location, the trek can last anywhere from 45 minutes to 7 hours. Once you meet the gorillas, you’ll have one hour to observe and interact with them—an experience that’s truly unforgettable.
Batwa Community Walk:
In the evening, take part in the Batwa Trail, where you’ll learn about the Batwa pygmies, an indigenous forest-dwelling community displaced from the rainforests they once shared with mountain gorillas. Enjoy a hike with the Batwa guides, listen to ancient folklore, and gain insight into their traditional lifestyle.

Day 4: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park (5 hours)
After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to elephants, tree-climbing lions, leopards, buffaloes, and more. The park also boasts 10 species of primates, 95 mammals, and over 600 bird species.
Ishasha Sector:
Drive through the Ishasha sector, where you may have the chance to spot the famous tree-climbing lions.
Arrive & Game Drive:
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Afterward, enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5 - Game Drive & Boat Cruise – Queen Elizabeth
Morning Game Drive:
Wake up early for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll have the chance to see animals you may have missed on Day 4.
Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise:
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel offers scenic views and a great opportunity for photography, with abundant wildlife such as hippos, elephants, and a rich variety of birdlife.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer Back to Kampala or Entebbe
Chimpanzee Trekking at Kyambura Gorge:
After breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking, where you’ll also encounter other primates like the black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and olive baboons.
Drive Back to Kampala or Entebbe:
After your trek, enjoy lunch and start your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. Depending on your flight time, we can arrange for extra accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe at an additional cost to suit your travel plans.
