Tarangire national park was named after River tarangire river which is a livelihood of the large wide range of wildlife. Tarangire River is located inside the park crossing the National park in the center. The park os well known for its huge Baobab trees & large herds of elephants. The Park is located along the Masai steppe on the South East & great rift valley on the North & West cocvering an area of 2,600 Square Kilometers.

Day 1: Arrival from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
- Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our Wild Breeze Safaris’ representative and transferred to the charming Arusha Planet Lodge.
- Nestled amidst beautiful gardens and trees, this lodge offers a serene retreat. Later, our safari manager will provide a briefing, allowing you to unwind and soak in the pleasant weather of Arusha city and the lodge’s facilities.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
- After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park via Arusha town.
- Along the way, you may stop at a supermarket for any last-minute purchases.
- Traverse the great Northern highway, passing through the picturesque Masai steppe and local villages before reaching Tarangire.
- Begin your exhilarating game drive upon arrival.
- Tarangire, the fifth largest National Park in Tanzania, boasts a remarkable elephant population, unique baobab trees, and a diverse array of wildlife.
- Spot herds of elephants, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, and more.
- Keep your eyes peeled for rare species such as the Greater Kudu and Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as over 400 species of birds.
- Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
- Following breakfast at your lodge, set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
- Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for thrilling game drives.
- Known as one of the world’s natural wonders, Ngorongoro Crater is teeming with a plethora of wildlife.
- Marvel at herds of wildebeests, African elephants, zebras, and more as you explore this unique ecosystem.
- Keep an eye out for the rare black rhino and the Big Five during your game drive.
- Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the stunning scenery of the crater floor.
- After an extensive game drive, return to Arusha in the early evening for overnight stay. (Accommodation can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- If departing on the same day, transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your onward journey.
- Safari starts and ends in Tanzania.
